The Story of Ferrari Rick and How He Discovered His Music Over Time
In creating their masterpieces, artists in all fields have a distinct approach that bears their personal touch and best reflects their creativity. However, the process of discovering themselves isn’t always an easy one and can take time before they come to that satisfying eureka moment.
Lasruick Edmead, or known as the artist Ferrari Rick, also underwent the same process until he finally found his artistic identity.
“I’m from Tampa, Florida. I got the name Ferrari Rick because I always wanted a Ferrari growing up and the first mixtape I made when I wasn’t taking rap so serious was called “Ferrari Dreamz.” I also switched my rap name plenty of times before I became Ferrari Rick. [It] just felt like that name was the right fit for me and I’m never changing it again,” he said.
Working on His Music Over the Ages
Ferrari Rick shares that he has always loved listening to music and has started making music since he was 13.
“I started my career making music from a webcam at home that’s how I started my career and I started getting interested in taking it seriously going to the studio and kept it going ever since then,” he said.
As he nears his 22nd birthday, he is planning to continue what he started and grind his way to the top as he did since day one. Nonetheless, he is proud of his growth as an artist than before, as well as becoming better at melodies and rapping.
“Most of my projects are on SoundCloud — just a bunch of free music there for people to listen to but also I have some of my music on all platforms,” the artist said.
Ferrari Rick has also just dropped a recent music video on YouTube and all platforms called “Truth Be Told” along with another video, “Thought I Was Cursed.” This year, he plans on taking his music to the next level and gain a larger following as he believes that it’s time for all his efforts to pay off.
He Kept Going
In his journey to success, Ferrari Rick has learned to stand for what he believes in and to never give up. He almost quit music 2018 because he felt like it was getting him nowhere. Eventually, he just kept going until he started seeing his progress every day.
“Focus on getting yourself in the right position and plan everything out before you do it then you go from there,” he advises.
